Thomond Village - The place to live!
Lanlearn accommodation is provided by Thomond Student Village, recognised as one of the very best purpose-built student accommodations available anywhere in Ireland.
Fully furnished student apartments
There are 190 recently refurbished apartments with all the services a student could need or want on-site, delivered by a friendly and efficient management team who ensure a welcoming atmosphere.
The village is only a short walk
from LIT, with a shuttle bus
running to the city centre and UL.
There are plenty of local amenities within a few minutes walk of the complex, and given the proximity to the city, there are many restaurants which will deliver food to the village. There is a bus stop just down the road from Thomond Student Village and buses run to and from the city from here. There are vending machines and full laundry facilities on-site.
Lanlearn will register the student with Thomond Village and provide a registration confirmation.
The village has a FREE shuttle bus running to the city centre and University Limerick (UL) daily – both morning and evening. It stops at Lanlearn. Journey time is approximately 30 minutes. There is a bus stop just down the road from Thomond Student Village and buses run to and from the city from here
The cost of renting accommodation is 150EUR per week for a single bedroom, 200EUR per week for a double bedroom, for maximum two weeks. Those costs include the administration costs for Lanlearn.
The students can extend their stay as they wish and if so, they will pay Thomond village directly for the additional time.
The Security Deposit
The student/ partner needs to confirm the booking online at www.thomondvillage.com. There is a refundable deposit of 200EUR to be made, using a debit/ credit card or a bank transfer. The refundable deposit is held on each account for the term, refundable once all is satisfactory with the apartment.
The room is not booked until the deposit is made. There are no charges for changing arrival dates, but it will be subject to availability of Thomond village.
Upon their arrival, students will have to report to reception to collect their key.
The deposit is to guarantee and protect Thomond village from:
-Bedding and bed sheets not returned in order
-Disappearance or loss of the key
-Damage to building, walls, furniture etc
-Disappearance of items from the apartment (inventory of cutlery, electrical goods)
-Dirty room and bathroom, requiring cleaning after check out
